I'm currently a wood artist making driftwood furniture which is what i wanted to do all my life. I hand craft new but rustic looking artistic furniture from old driftwood that washes out on the shores of the Egyptian beaches. I aim to reach higher levels of precision and artistic taste in my work and teach and inspire people as much as i can. I am a 37 year old Orthopaedic surgeon coming from a family of doctors. My father Dr Maged Maurice Mikhail has a passion for wood work and he got me into carpentry at a very young age. I totally fell for it and having spent most of my memorable childhood in the coastal beautiful town of Agami i became a beach boy with passion to everything related to the sea, one of which of course is Drift Wood. I always had wood projects going on but ten years ago after a big success in a small exhibition that happened totally by chance i started taking things more seriously until one year ago i decided to do it professionally and turn it into a business. I'm still practicing medicine on a limited basis just for the reason that when you help people you get such gratitude that fills your life with positive energy. I also DJ professionally on limited basis and i have a lot of hobbies like kite surfing, motocross biking and playing the jembe with friends.
